Meet our Interns

We are Anne Serina and Sunniva and we are bioscience students at UIO. This spring we finish our bachelor’s degree. During the past three years we have chosen different subjects such as cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry.

This semester, we were finally able to use our knowledge in practice since we got the opportunity to work as interns at Diatec Monoclonals. We are here every Monday and Friday and get to experience how a workday can be for a biologist. At Diatec we help where it is needed, for example with lab cleaning routines, environmental monitoring, autoclaving and logistics. In the lab we are also learning a lot about antibody production and different lab procedures such as ELISA, how to make buffers and how the production units work. We also learned about marketing, helping out with this post and social media.

We are so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to learn even more!
